Why Should I Rent > Buying New?
Renting = no purchasing commitment. What does that mean? You may ask.
Well, have you ever bought a new dress then a few weeks later, when you want to wear it for your event, it isn't quite fitting like it did before?
Same here - well by renting, you have a whole new wardrobe of endless possibilities at your fingertips.
- You can switch up your look from the usual whenever you please.
- You'll have a less cluttered wardrobe as you'll have less one-off garments sitting around in your closet.
- You can experiment with world-renowned brands for a fraction of the retail price.
- You leave a more positive mark on our environment.
As we all know the fashion industry has been engulfed by fast fashion and trends that are leaving a terrible mark on our world. Renting is the sustainable (the best) step towards a more sustainable world!
How do I book a Rental?

Once you've found something that catches your eye - "Schedule" your desired timeframe.
Remember to pick the date you want to receive the dress - the date you'll return the dress.
Then fill in all the necessary details until you, "Complete Order." Then VIOLA your dress has been scheduled and you should receive an invoice via email within 1 - 3 working days, thereafter all updates regarding your rental will be communicated via email.
All in all, it's simply - rent, return, repeat with Atelier 97 Rentals!
Can you deliver to me?
Absolutely!
All bookings are under the preconception that you will be collecting and returning your rented dress yourself, so if you would prefer a delivery (at an extra fee) - kindly drop us a DM (on our Instagram Page here.)
What happens if I damage my dress?
We know mistakes can happen and want you to enjoy your occasion without the worry of damaging your rental.
If there has been any damage to your rental, please kindly contact rentals@atelierninetyseven.com immediately.
Included in the rental price is what we call, a "cleaning fee" which includes dry-cleaning and repair of any minor mishaps like a missing button or sequin. These will be revamped by our in-house seamstress so all rentals look brand new for their next rental!
However, if the damage is marked as "irreversibly damaged" by both our seamstress and dry-cleaners, then a full replacement fee will need to be settled.
A few pointers to care for your rentals are to:
- Opt to wear heels where possible / lift your dress when walking to avoid drag damage.
- Always opt for a try-on prior to your rental to ensure it fits well and avoid any tension-related damage.
- Avoid crossbody bags that cause friction on your garment.
How can I guarantee quality?
Firstly, all our rentals are purchased brand new directly from their respective brands, this ensures they all arrive in spanking new condition ready for their bookings, unless otherwise stated.
Secondly, all our dresses undergo scrutinous quality control checks alongside our in-house seamstress between each booking. If a quality issue comes up during the quality control tests, that means the dress' cycle will be cut short and the dress will be put up for re-sale, where applicable.
And lastly, all our rentals have a set rental lifecycle which is agreed upon by our in-house seamstress and our dry-cleaners, dependant on various factors. Once this lifecycle has been reached, we send them over to find a new home by putting them up for re-sale as second-hand bargains (keeping the circular, sustainable fashion boat afloat♻️.)
What if my dress doesn't fit?
We can't recommend try-ons more and this is one of the many reasons why.
While we do our best to accurately state the different "fits" of the dresses in our descriptions, the best way to see if it looks good on you is by booking a try-on.
During your try-on, if you are not happy with the fit of the dress, feel free to give another dress of your choice a try!
However, once your collection date has arrived, the dress is your liability, meaning if you are collecting your dress / after collecting it you realise it doesn't fit, we're afraid there is very little we can do about it.
My event got postponed / cancelled!
Not to worry, if you need to change the date of your rental - let us know as soon as you know of said changes!
If you have already settled your payment, again let us know ASAP Rocky and we'll send you a credit gift card (with a unique code) for your next booking.
Should I clean my dress before returning it?
Please don't - the first wash after bookings is always the most crucial, hence why we send all returned dresses straight to the dry cleaners for some professional cleaning.
Please return it, with all the smudged makeup, sweaty pits, creases and more & we'll gladly handle all of that for you!
